Diet for Fatty Liver disease
As mentioned in the foods for fatty liver article, effective diet could greatly help curing a fatty liver disease.
One of the most important things to keep in mind is that it’s not enough to just change your eating habits, but to also maintain that change.
Many people with fatty liver disease change their eating habits for a while, take a new liver function blood test, and the results show up good with enzyme levels in the normal range.
This is because the liver enzymes levels in the bloodstream change quite fast depending on what you eat in the weeks close to the test, and thus causing the blood test results to a bit tricky.
It’s important to take things gradually.
Meaning, one blood test can’t really show if the disease is gone or not – it takes time. Take a new blood test every 3 months, and watch your progress.
Further more, even one year after working on your diet for fatty liver, and changing you eating habits, you need to keep in mind that your body is vulnerable for fatty liver disease. You need to watch your diet through the years to come.
I highly recommend using the fatty liver diet guide written by Dorothy Spencer BSN,RN. It helped many of my patients. Click here to get the guide.
