AST 36.7 (SGOT) / ALT 49.8(SGPT) ..mentioned earlier ..Rg US report : normal in size,shape and outline. Liver measures 114mm.Hepatic parenchyma shows cyst of size 17/16 mm in right lobe.Inrahepatic billiary channels are not dilated.Portal and hepatic vasculatures are seen normal.Potal vein measures 8 mm.No free fluid collection seen in morrisn’s pouch.Mild fatty changes is present in liver……….. US report shows single and simle cyst .other tests done as suggested by doc : BILIRUBIN TOTAL – 0.60 , CONJUGATED (DIRECT) BILIRUBIN-0.19, UNCONJUGATED(INDIRECT) BILIRUBIN-0.45, TOTAL PROTEIN SERUM-7-5,, A/G RATIO- 2,SGOT-36-7,GAMMA GT-51-9,CREATINENNE SERUM-0.96,PLATELET COUNT-2-43,MCV-86-3……. Non diabetic .. sugar 98-130

Hello Durga,
Besides the blood test, have you done an abdominal ultrasound?
If so, can you please share the results?
In addition, can you please post your ALT and AST levels from the blood test results?

Hello Carol,

I think your doctor wasn’t that concerned because your condition is not severe and is reversible in most cases.
Basically, the treatment is about eating the right food, doing exercise, and just change your lifestyle.

Yes, your condition is totally reversible. Basically, your treatment should focus on proper diet, exercise, and live a generally healthy life style.
Please remember there are no medications for fatty liver.

I have been diagnosed with fatty liver. My ALT is now 67 and AST 40. Other components of the LFT are within normal range but they keep fluctuating. I am using milk thistle and liv 52. Also the ultrasound said mild fatty changes throughout the liver. Based on those values does it sound like it is reversible?

Hi,

I just found out today that I have a fatty liver and my doctor didn’t seem that concerned about it. I did ask what I could do about it but got no reply. I’m 46 and intend to live a lot longer, so any more information you can give me on this matter would be grate3fully appreciated.

I’m glad I found this website and thanks to all of the above in sharing there information and concerns about this as I wasn’t aware it was the serious.

My Q is that my husband has diagnosed with this fatty liver i have yet not collect the report as it was done today only but i came to know about the fatty liver from the ultrasound specialist n he just explained us orally i was too much afraid with this… as yet i not know the grade of it but sir actually i have had his latest blood report with me and that sgpt sgot, ldl (bad cholosterol is 192.4) and uric acid all are above then high or u can say more then high, also getting done the most important blood test for hepatitis (all grade) n the reports are waited but sir did u tell me something regarding this fatty liver will it be possible to getting into the correct form… i m too much panic… as his working hours are too odd and long.. how did i provide the good healthy lifestyle as he is the only earning member of our house n only the age of 36 is this the fatty liver harmful for him as he always complaining the pains in his joints, back ankle, foot, foot fingers he had also complaining some time back of gaut… i m blank when see the blood report he is not so often drink alcohol but have chewing tobacco so so much more then around 20 packets in a day what to do with him please answer to all my queries thank you so much… or is i stooped all sugar in his diet as he is much found of sweets, or one more think should coconut is also harmful or responsible…for his condition.. actually his physically activity is 0 n only 0… but mentally he s too much disturbed…

I have fatty liver too grade 1 shown in ultrasound but the blood test results such as sgpt and sgot are normal I also have a diet mostly eat cooked food nut fried but one thing I take a day is banana which is not so good for fatty liver . please assist and advise what I shall do to get rid of this fatty liver . Have the doctors gave any reason why you’re having NASH? You are very young, and it’s very rare to have NASH at this stage of your life.

Hello, my name is TJ. I am 20, (almost 21 years old.). I have had pains in the right side of my abdomen for about 9-11 years now, and only at the beginning of this year, I decided to get it checked. I had been to the hospital almost once a week for a couple months. I was diagnosed with NASH, (Non-Alcoholic Stateohepatitis), and was referred to the NASH diet. As stubborn as I am, I didn’t follow doctors’ orders. (Mainly because I didn’t know how to find out what I can and cannot eat. I need a detailed list.). I could be on my way to having Cirrhosis, and I don’t know what to do. Can anyone help me? It would be very much appreciated.

Tnx so much 4 this Fatty liver website!!! I’ve been researching 4 a while about this Fatty Liver stuff 4 a friend and I found ur website very helpful! Anybody w/ a Fatty Liver needs 2 come and see this. Did u know that after the 3rd stage (where the liver has started 2 scar,ect.) that the Fatty Liver is almost completely unreversible!) yikes Tnx 2 this website they can help u not let that in ur situation.
